Just request the Newyorkers logo. They send a proof as well and are easy to talk with should you have a question
or can't find something you are looking for. If you want the same denim long sleeved shirts or fleece or Nike polo that
you may have seen worn, just ask for what I ordered. They know what has been ordered with the logo on it.

The Footlighters Quartet will be featured in a "Dinner and Show" at the
Reformed Church of Shawangunk on Saturday evening Feb 11, 2012. The
address is 1166 Hoagerburgh Road, Wallkill. The doors open at 5pm and the Show
will begin about 5:15 with the quartet leading off. The Show will also feature the
Shawangunk White Dove Players.
Tickets are still available but going fast. Call the church office at 845-895-2952 or
Harriet Wilkin at 845-476-8758. The dinner is four-course, including appetizer,
salad, choice of Chicken Florentine Lasagna or Lasagna Primavera, and dessert.
The tickets are only $7.50 per person, that's right, $7.50 !! |

To enter go to the BHS site, "members only," and select "contest entry."
Choose the contest you
are entering.
This will activate the CJ-20 process.
Separate entries are required for choruses and quartets.
If a quartet wishes to compete in both the Prelims
and their Division contests, choose district quartet
(if Division
only, choose that appropriate sub-session).
Friday night will feature the International Quartet semifinals,
simultaneously including the two division quartet contest rounds in a "shuffled"
lineup.
Saturday morning
will begin the joint
Yankee and Mountain chorus contest.
\Prelim finals will climax Saturday night!
Strong possibility of three NED qualifiers
for
the July International!
The cutoff date is February 20--
that's one month from today, so don't delay.

The Footlighters Quartet is delighted
to announce that, effective immediately, Mr. J. Breck Martyn has joined the quartet to sing Baritone. Breck is a long-time barbershopper and quartet man and a fine musician. He brings a wealth of show and competition experience to the quartet, as well as great energy and personality.
Breck sang with and directed the
world-renowned Colgate Thirteen choral group in his college days. He joined the
Barbershop Harmony Society (then known as SPEBSQSA) in 1976, with the Poughkeepsie, New York Chapter and remains a Chapter
member. He has directed the Newyorkers Chorus and has served in many administrative
and Annual Show capacities. He has sung, variously, Lead, Tenor, and Baritone
with four quartets: Four Guys From Poughkeepsie, Sound Edition, Entertainment
Tonite, and Rave Revue. With Entertainment Tonite, he was a quarter-finalist
at the 1988 International Quartet Competition held in San Antonio, Texas. With
Rave Revue, he won the Northeastern District Quartet Championship in 1991 and ranked as a quarter-finalist at the 1995 International
Quartet Competition in Miami, Florida.
Breck lives in Poughkeepsie with his wife
Terri. He joins veteran Footlighters Ron
Pierson (Tenor), Jack Ostmark (Lead), and Bud Fair (Bass), all also members of the Poughkeepsie Chapter. The quartet is working on new repertoire material, and is planning a re-entry into competition in 2011.
